The Home Energy Model is replacing SAP
SAP, the Standard Assessment Procedure, has been the methodology behind the energy assessment of new homes in the UK for decades. The Home Energy Model (HEM) is the government's replacement for it, developed alongside the Future Homes Standard.
For the people who do this work every day, that is a significant change: a new methodology, new inputs, and new outputs to hand to building control.
