The brief
British Gypsum needed one tool covering both halves of a thermal assessment: the U-value of the element itself, and the linear thermal transmittance at the junctions between elements.
What we built
A calculator that steps the user through the structural element (roof, wall or floor), then the construction type, then the dimensions. A separate PSI value calculator handles junctions between ceilings, walls, floors and windows.
Calculations can be saved against a project in a login area, so they can be returned to rather than rebuilt.
The same tool is served from two domains, sguvalue.com and isoveruvalue.com.
