The brief
Part L requires photographic evidence to be captured during construction and submitted with the BREL report. Collected on a phone camera and assembled later, photos go missing, arrive unlabelled, or turn out to show the wrong plot, and it is usually the submission deadline that reveals it.
What we built
An app for housebuilders. A user signs in, selects a project, and uploads photographic proof as construction progresses, each image carrying its location, date and description.
It is built around what On Construction Domestic Energy Assessors actually need: better information for building control bodies and homeowners, and evidence solid enough to improve the accuracy of the energy calculations that depend on it.
